About
To begin with, freethought and metaphor represent my two kinds of publications: a freethought biography and books of poetry.
Beyond that, they are two ways I believe the creative mind should address the world: always looking beyond dogma and ever on the lookout for unexpected parallels.
Ellen Roberts Young is the author of two poetry chapbooks, Accidents (2004) and The Map of Longing (2009) both published by Finishing Line Press, and the 2011 historical biography, John Emerson Roberts: Kansas City’s “Up-to-date” Freethought Preacher. See more on the Books page.
She is also one of five poets who have combined their work in Ascent: Five Southwestern Women Poets.
She lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she is a co-editor of Sin Fronteras/Writers Without Borders.
